Tutoring
As an experienced teacher working within the Early Years, Primary, Middle and Tertiary sectors, I am very aware of the confines of the National Curriculum for some learners. Private tutoring can allow your child the opportunity to consolidate what they have been learning by receiving one to one tuition allowing them either to build confidence in areas in which they find difficult or to excel in areas of interest.
Tutoring is normally offered on a one to one basis but can be delivered to two if this preferred. I am able to offer tutor support in all areas of the curriculum to children in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2; this could be general support in numeracy or literacy, or to address specific problems for example in reading or writing. It could also be to further challenge and motivate able learners to achieve their potential.
I am also happy to offer Maths, Science, Child Care & Development and Health and Social Care to young people in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 to GCSE level.
I am able to place you in direct contact with an experienced linguist and teacher offering support for English and various languages to GCSE / A-level.
Tutoring is carried out at mutually convenient times, usually in 45 minute to 90 minute blocks dependent upon the age/ability of tutee. It can be carried out in the familiar surroundings of your home or at a different setting if preferred. It can be a weekly or fortnightly booking or can be more intense perhaps over holiday period.
Academic tutoring costs range from as little as £20 but an accurate quote will be given on assessment of your requirements.
